The purpose of ELA’s dress code policy is to help promote school spirit and unity, prevent socio-economic discrimination, and create a learning environment free of unnecessary distractions.
Early Light Academy has adopted the following dress standard and will require all students to adhere to this policy during school hours and field trips. All clothing must be unadorned, clean, in good condition, and sized appropriately.
Dress code appropriate clothing can be purchased anywhere uniforms are sold. Example of stores that have uniform departments include Sears/Lands End (ELA #900133711), Target, JCPenney, Gap, Old Navy, Aeropostale, Walmart, French Toast, Kohls, thechildrenswearoutlet.com, Osh Kosh, and many more!

ELA Staff and Volunteer Dress Guidelines
 |
In addition to a student dress code, ELA encourages its staff and volunteers to dress appropriately. Business casual is recommended for teachers, except on specified “spirit” days. Staff and volunteers are encouraged to dress conservatively and modestly: no low-cut or sleeveless tops (unless under a jacket or sweater), skirts and shorts should be no shorter than two inches above the knee, and underclothing should not be visible. Clothing should be clean, in good condition, and sized appropriately. |
