Pahla Carden (5th grade) is originally from Texas, and relocated to Utah eight years ago. For seven of her eight years spent in Utah, she taught 2nd grade at two great charter schools. After earning her Reading Endorsement from Utah State University, she also became a Reading Specialist for the Granite School District. Her associates and bachelors degrees are from the University of North Texas, and she has a minor in reading.

Pahla and her husband are the parents of 9 children and 25 grandchildren. They love living close to most of them and try to see them often. She enjoys outdoor activities of all types: walking, gardening, mowing, biking, and hiking. She is actively involved in her community and has wonderful friends that enrich her lifePahla is excited to teach the 5th grade this year in a beautiful new school with a professional team of educators at ELA.
