Lily Haixia Guo (Physical Education) came to the United States from Beijing, China as a visiting scholar at the University of Utah. She is a PhD candidate in Sport Pedagogy and has been teaching for nine years. Lily loves children and enjoys teaching. She believes that every child has their own dream, and a good education is the only way to help them achieve that dream. Thus, Lily's daily endeavor is to earnestly make each child's learning experience both educational and invigorating. For her, the happiest moments of each day come when she sees her students interested and absorbed in their P.E. class, and leaving with a simple but satisfied smile.

Lily considers teaching at ELA a rare and precious opportunity; she treasures the chance to become acquainted with the students and faculty. Life lessons she hopes to instill in her P.E. students include: be safe, be orderly, be respectful, be responsible, and be physically active.
