Brenda Hassard (kindergarten) is excited to have the opportunity to teach kindergarten at Early Light Academy. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Child Development and Elementary Education and has taken additional education classes at Boise State University. She has taught in both preschool and kindergarten. In the kindergarten classroom, she helped low scoring students achieve success on the statewide reading test. She has also utilized the K12 curriculum and attests to its educational merits. She loves children, and seeing them succeed is her passion.

Brenda taught classes for the school district on strengthening family ties and has lectured on how to best prepare a child to learn to read. She has served as a Cub Scout leader and as a teacher and leader in the children’s, youth, and women’s organizations within her community. Her greatest joys include her husband, children and grandchildren. She is devoted to making the world a better place for children.
