The strength of Mia’s professional experience lies in her ability to quickly assess organizational needs and bring together disparate parts and opinions to form a cohesive and well-functioning whole. As President of the Governing Board for the Early Light Academy, this is an apt description of her role to date and what it will be going forward.

After graduating from BYU with a BA in Communications, Mia worked in public communications, marketing and design. Additionally, she gained valuable experience in finance and securities during her four years of employment with Fidelity Investments.

Mia is the mother of two children, ages 7 and 5, and has been engaged in the home schooling of her daughter for the past year. In her spare time, Mia enjoys traveling to exotic destinations including much of the Middle East, the South Pacific, and most recently Budapest, Hungary. Her interests also include photography, reading, and dabbling in the creation of various ethnic cuisines.
