KD Price (Special Education) grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and married her high school sweetheart and neighbor. She has 3 children that attend elementary school at ELA. KD attended Utah State and the University of Utah, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and Health and a minor in Psychology. Her experience with children includes substituting in elementary and junior high schools, living with a family as a nanny, and working with special needs children in a recreational and academic camp. After years of volunteering, teaching summer school, and putting together math groups in elementary schools, she looks forward to working with all the junior high students at Early Light Academy.

When KD is not at school, you might find her running the trails and roads in and around Daybreak; she is preparing to complete her first marathon (St. George) in 2010. KD loves traveling with her husband and recently returned from a 2-week trip to Italy. She believes she could survive on a desert island with hot tamales, chocolate milk, and a daily newspaper. She relaxes by gardening, writing, talking on her cell phone, listening to her ipod, researching genealogical data, and reading. KD loves Yoda’s saying, “Do or do not. There is no try.”
