Amy Rich (Special Education Teaching Assistant) grew up at the foot of Mt. Olympus in Salt Lake City. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Utah. While she loves Utah and its mountains, Amy also loves experiencing new cultures, and has visited 11 countries. While attending the U of U, she studied abroad in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, and England. Although her passport bears stamps from places around the world, one of Amy’s favorite sights is her new view of Mt. Olympus from her porch in Daybreak. She can also attest that there is no place like the United States of America; Amy gained a deep appreciation for our country and its system of government while working as a White House intern for President George H. Bush. When looking for fun, Amy loves watching “chick flicks” with her husband and Disney movies with her kids. If you’ve spent any time with her, you know she usually has a Diet Coke in one hand and a Kazoozle in the other. She has a set of triplet boys (10 years old) and a girl (7 years old). Amy has enjoyed being a classroom volunteer for the past six years, and a teacher’s assistant for the last two years. She is thrilled when taking a part in the developmental accomplishments of her students. She loves Early Light Academy and its students, and looks forward to helping the children progress in any way she can. |
