Emily Snyder (language arts) has a great love for learning and recently turned down a scholarship for graduate work at New York’s Columbia University to work for Early Light Academy instead. After teaching at a wonderful Title I, low-income school in Orem, Emily received an offer to work as secretary at the headquarters of a worldwide woman’s organization. After learning valuable lessons there, she is thrilled to return to the classroom. Her experience includes teaching at a district level, writing Utah’s state core test questions, writing curriculum for a private organization, and teaching in the classroom—where she sees the real magic happen. Miss Snyder has lived in California, Washington, France, Italy, Russia, and Hong Kong; however, she calls Alpine, Utah home. She has a sincere love and appreciation for great chocolate chip cookies, crisp apples, fresh pineapple, laps of swimming, early morning or late night walks, and Michaelangelo. |
