Michelle Stevenett (Special Education Assistant) was born in Provo, Utah and spent several of her formative years living in Finland where she became fluent in Finnish. The daughter of a university professor and scholarly mother, Michelle was reared with a profound emphasis in education. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University, with a B.A. in Humanities (philosophy emphasis), and studied abroad in Europe for several months. She has also worked as a youth counselor where she traveled across the country facilitating various youth events.

Michelle has spent the last several years as a committed classroom volunteer, PTA secretary, and school spirit commissioner. She has a special interest in helping students achieve measurable "lightbulb" moments that jump-start enthusiasm, comprehension, and overall development.

Michelle enjoys running, cooking, dancing, community theatre, skiing, and spending time in the outdoors with her husband and two children. She has lived in South Jordan since 2000 and is looking forward to working with ELA's amazing kids.
