Alyssa is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she studied Psychology and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Tulsa. She is currently pursuing her PhD in School Psychology at the University of Kansas. Alyssa has worked with clients ranging from elementary to adulthood and has experience assessing ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, PTSD, and other neurodevelopment disorders within clinical, educational, and medical settings.

Alyssa’s clinical and research interests center around the lived experiences of neurodiverse individuals. She prioritizes making assessments as comprehensive and psychoeducational as possible. Her dissertation topic centers on individual differences in autistic camouflaging behaviors and the relationships between camouflaging, social relationships, and emotional distress. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys arts and crafts, reading, quality time with her dog and cat, and traveling or trying new food places with her husband.
