Elizabeth Valenzuela
Special Education Teacher
Elizabeth was born in the Texas Panhandle and spent much of her life in western Oklahoma, where she began her teaching career. She earned her degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a dual major in Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities. Over the years, she has taught in both Oklahoma and Texas, eventually relocating to Arizona in 2004. Her journey in education has taken her to Tucson, Phoenix, and southern Arizona, where she even commuted daily across the border while living in Mexico.
Elizabeth is grateful to be part of the ELA community. After a rewarding year last year, she is excited for what this school year holds. Teaching special education is not just a career for her—it is her true passion. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and caring for her animals.
