Felicia Patzke Felicia Patzke

Felicia Patzke

Special Education Administrative Assistant

There’s something magical about the first day of school—the excitement, the fresh start, and the possibility of growth. For Felicia, this excitement has been a constant companion throughout her life, whether as a student, a teacher, or now, a mentor and advocate in the field of education.

In November 2020, Felicia returned to Utah after spending 25 years in New York City.  Felicia’s passion for helping others led her to Columbia University, where she received her Master’s in Social Work, before continuing her studies at CUNY Hunter College, where she earned her Master’s in Elementary Education. Over the next two decades, she taught grades Pre-K through 6th, always striving to create classrooms where students felt heard, valued, and empowered.

After returning to Utah, Felicia transitioned from the classroom to a new role supporting the special education team at Early Light Academy. She recently earned her English Language Learners endorsement from Southern Utah University, allowing her to play a key role in providing support for the growing ELL population at ELA—a challenge she embraces with enthusiasm. Her work is grounded in a firm belief that education is the key to unlocking every child’s potential, no matter their background or where they start.

When she’s not focused on her students, Felicia can be found immersed in a good book, volunteering in her community, or enjoying a peaceful walk through Utah’s scenic trails. Always a lifelong learner, she looks forward to continuing her journey of discovery, both in and outside the classroom, and remains dedicated to the students who inspire her every day.
